If it appears from our initial telephone conversation that the client has a meritorious claim, we set an appointment to come into the office and sit down with Mr. Vincenti and his legal assistant to gather all pertinent information. This will include a complete description of the accident or incident which caused the injury, a complete medical history both before and after the injury, information about loss of ability to work, and all insurance which may apply. We then have the client sign a formal representation agreement and authorizations for us to obtain all medical information and wage information. A file is opened and a claim is formally instituted against the negligent party’s insurance company. When all of the ramifications of the clients’ injury are known, we start a process of negotiation aimed at receiving the highest possible settlement. If an amicable settlement is not possible, we may recommend that a formal lawsuit be filed.
